Da Nang Pacific Smiles volunteered with Thanh Nha Dental to providing dental treatment for children from Hoa May Orphanage Center of Da Nang.  Donations and and a site visit were to Thanh Am Special School.

Saigon - We had meetings with Ms Hang, Director of Eviva Travel and to provide donations to May Tam Orphanage for Children with HIV/AIDS.

Hoa May Orphanage - On site at the orphanage, about 75 children received, exams, oral health instructions, toothbrushes, toothpaste, and floss. ($2.50/child).  An additional  11 children needed treatment due to decay.  The children were transported to Thanh Nha Dental via a donation from Furama Resorts.  Treatment was provided by Dr. French and Dr. Thanh Nha.  As always, for the children’s good behavior, the trip back from the dental clinic always includes a stop at the local ice cream parlor.

• Dental Donations $650 (composite materials, fl varnish, tooth brushes, toothpaste)
• Educational Donations $450

May Tam Orphanage - A morning visit with the priest and donations to the children. $200 in toothbrush kits were donated.

Thanh Am Special School - A visit to distribute toys and toothbrush kits to the children and meeting with Sister Lan. $250 in toothbrush kits and toys were donated.
